What has your mom given you?
Mothers (for some that means a grandmother, an auntie, a stepmother or a special someone) are our first loves.
My mother has given me the traits I cherish most about myself. Imagination, the true belief that anything is possible, deep integrity, bravery, and the understanding that we must begin walking before the path unfolds to do meaningful things. She taught me that being a mother is our greatest gift and challenge, and that we do not get a “do-over” on parenting. I try with all my might to be a good mother before anything.
She holds my balloon string. She has saved me from falling countless times. Some that I knew about, some I never will.
There isn’t a gift that can touch all that. Yet, we do what we can.
